Yes, this is a joke. And for the people out there who know nothing about Rebecca Black, other than the viral song she sang, let me drop some knowledge on you.

She donated all of the proceeds she received from her song “Friday” to Japan to help with the tsunami relief and to her school.

I’d like to see you do something so selfless after the world has been so cruel to you. I bet at 13 (her age), you were sitting in your room, bopping around to some pop star who’s lyrics I can almost guarantee you were no more deep or meaningful than Rebecca’s. But no, you’re right, she’s a horrible person who deserves endless mocking for being young and considerate.
